WV’s Gauley rafting season starts 9/6/2019
According to WVExplorer, Gauley River rafting season kicked off on September 6 this year. With the Gauley and New Rivers right in our backyard, we thought we would take some time to feature some of the rafting companies in the area.

Maybe not as well-known as ACE and Adventures on the Gorge, RiverExpeditions is tucked away from the river, but has amenities rivaling that of Adventures and ACE. With rafting trips on both the New and Gauley Rivers, raft aficionados will have no problem scratching that itch. Big rapids come in small packages! Cantrell Ultimate Rafting is the last family-owned rafting company that paddles the New and Gauley Rivers. Small in stature, this company may not offer the same amenities as some of the other companies, but for the guest that doesn’t want the frills and only wants to hit the water (or loves a good underdog story), Cantrell surely will not disappoint.
