I can’t tell you how many times I was told this in my childhood. It forced me out of the mold and helped shape me into the quirky yet grounded person I am today. No longer one to follow the crowd…not another lemming cliff-diving into oblivion.
But where I grew up, there wasn’t Bridge Day.
According to Official Bridge Day, Bridge Day 2019 is October 19, 2019, from 9am to 3pm. Sponsored by Monster Energy, the WV Lottery, and the US Air Force Special Ops, as well as several local businesses and organizations, you know this is going to be a blast.
First, to address the obvious – yes, there will actually be BASE jumping and Rappelling on Bridge Day. Check out some of the highlight photos from Bridge Day here.
Bridge Day also offers a 5k RUN that features the views of the New River Gorge – a breathtaking experience in every sense of the word.
The full event calendar hasn’t been released yet, so make sure to check the Bridge Day website closer to 10/19 for more information.
